Moonshiner Birthday Bash at Adventure Distilling Co.

We spent Saturday night at Adventure Distilling Co. for the Moonshiners Birthday Bash, and it was one of those events that reminds you why the smaller gatherings hit different. It was relaxed, easy to move around, and actually gave us time to talk with people instead of rushing booth-to-booth like a bigger festival.

The party was celebrating Moonshiner Josh Owens and Moonshiner Mark Ramsey, and the crowd was a solid mix of locals, friends, and familiar faces from the moonshine community. We met up with a ton of people, made some new friends, and settled into the kind of evening where the conversations are the main event.

We also ran into Master Distiller Big Nick Calo while he was stopping by, and it was cool seeing how many people were coming through just to be part of the night. Between the distilling folks, the TV-show fans, and the regulars, it felt like a true community hangout.

The drinks were great — we tried a few cocktails and the slushies, and Shana pretty much fell in love with the margarita slushy. The bar stayed busy, but it never felt chaotic, and the staff kept everything moving without making the night feel rushed.

We made sure to spend some time talking shop with Moonshine Militia member Kenny Taylor, and we also got to catch up with Moonshiners Daniel Maner and Kelly Williamson, the owner of Adventure Distilling Co. Nights like this are where you actually get the chance to have real conversations — not just quick hellos and photo ops.

Live music from Tricia Ann Band rounded out the night and kept the whole place moving. Between the band, the crowd, and the drinks, it felt like a true Saturday-night party — but without the “packed festival” stress.

By the end of the evening, it was pretty clear why we like these smaller events so much. You get the atmosphere, the people, and the fun — but you also get the time to connect. Adventure Distilling Co. has been putting on events regularly, and if you ever get the chance to stop in, have a drink, and soak in the vibe, we don’t think you’ll regret it.

Shoutout to everyone who came out and made the night what it was — from the folks working behind the bar to the friends and familiar faces who kept the conversations going. This one had that “everybody knows somebody” feel, and it made the whole evening better.
